2017 Committees and Topic Guides
In 2017, YMGE will welcome 350 delegates in 17 committees. YMGE offers three distinct types of committees: National Cabinets, Councils of Ministers, and Specialized Bodies.
These cabinets are national executive bodies: one committee composed of all ministers from the country, designed to propose, debate, and ratify solutions to a national problem. The cabinets are interdisciplinary in nature, using the perspectives of various minsters to create clear solutions to multifaceted problems.

THE CABINETS AT YMGE 2017 ARE:
Councils of Ministers
As in the real-life European Union, when crisis strikes, the ministers in each cabinet reshuffle into their respective Council of Ministers. For instance, when reshuffling, all the different Ministers of Foreign Affairs will leave their national cabinets and convene with each other in the Foreign Affairs Council. The Council of Ministers format allows delegates to address issues from a different angle with a greater level of specificity and depth, putting an emphasis on European cooperation and responsiveness to crisis.

Specialized committees fall outside the boundaries of the traditional cabinets and parliaments. These committees are either intra-national legislative bodies or powerful international institutions that exert their influence on a global level.
