Welcome!

For the first time ever, Yale Model United Nations Europe will take place in the grand city of Brussels in Belgium. Our team is delighted to visit Brussels, a city ripe with history and culture!

The glow of the morning sun illuminates the surrounding buildings in a warm, golden light. Before you, stands the Palais de Justice, a magnificent sight, a structure which appears to have risen from the ruins of Greece. Columns, pediments, and ornate carvings cloak the exterior of the white marble facade. Time slows as you stand still, engraving every detail into your memory. You turn around and are greeted by the city of Brussels that expands into the horizon.

As you stroll through the streets, you make your way to the Grand Place, a large square located in the center of the city. You are suddenly engulfed by the crowd, the smell of sweets from food vendors, and the many conversations taking place all at once, in French, Dutch, German, English, and Spanish. You look up and see Gothic towers that seem to penetrate the blue sky, the gold detailings that line the exterior visible from the ground. Once again, you feel as though you are transported to the past, to the 11th century, when the construction for these structures were just beginning. As the builders build upon the foundations for these magnificent work of architecture, you build upon your foundation of knowledge through debates and conversations at the 2024 YMUNE conference!

We are beyond excited to host the conference in Brussels next year, a city rich in culture and history, making it the best location for an experience that encourages diverse perspectives and conversations. We look forward to meeting you soon and exploring the city together while addressing a variety of topics during committee sessions.
