Isabella (she/her) is a junior in Saybrook College from Puebla, Mexico. She is double-majoring in Political Science and English. She was Director-General of Operations for YMGE XII in Athens, Greece. Outside of YMUNE, she is part of the International Student Organization (ISO) and the Yale Daily News (YDN). In her free time, Isabella enjoys reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends, yoga and cooking. She is looking forward to YMUNE XIII and creating a memorable conference for all participants.

Diego Aspinwall

Director-General of Operations

Diego (he/him) is a junior in Saybrook College from Hanover, New Hampshire. He is a prospective Physics major pursuing a Computer Programming certificate. Outside of YMUNE, Diego is a member of the Yale Ski Team and the Yale Climbing Team. He volunteers at the Yale Community Kitchen most weeks as well. In his free time, Diego enjoys reading, playing the guitar, sleeping and hiking. Diego is looking forward to meeting the delegates for YMUNE XIII.

Lilia ChatalbashevA

Director-General of Committees

Lily (she/her) is a sophomore in Jonathan Edwards College from Sofia, Bulgaria. She is pursuing a major in Physics and Philosophy with a certificate in French. Outside of YMUNE, Lily is a member of YMUN and multiple magazines and journals on campus, including Yale Review of International Studies and Cortex; she loves reading and writing, and in her free time goes for a hike whenever possible! She is looking forward to meeting all the delegates at YMUNE XIII and shaping a memorable committee experience for everyone.

Andrew Lau

Under-Secretary-General of General Assemblies

Andrew (he/him) is a sophomore in Trumbull College from Singapore. He is planning to major in English, with a certificate in Data Science. On campus, he coaches debate for middle and high school students as part of the Urban Debate League, and is an Associate Editor for the Yale Daily News Magazine. In his free time, he enjoys cooking Asian food, reading and traveling to new places in the US. He is looking forward to meeting the delegates of YMUNE!

Gai Ogasawara

Under-Secretary-General of International Recruitment

Gai, pronounced like “guy,” (he/him) is a junior in Grace Hopper College. While he was born in Japan, he grew up in France, Switzerland, Kenya, Vietnam, and Côte d’Ivoire. Gai is an Economics major, also pursuing a certificate in Education Studies. Outside of the classroom, Gai is a part of the Japanese American Students Union, Yale Model United Nations, and the Yale Undergraduate Consulting Group. He also loves to spend time with his friends, making and listening to mood-specific Spotify playlists, and watching sunsets—he has also recently become obsessed with going to the gym. Kyran Blau

Under-Secretary-General of European Recruitment

Kyran (he/him) is a Chilean-American first-year in Silliman college from San Luis Obispo, California. He is a prospective global affairs major. Aside from YMUNE, Kyran participates as a teacher in hemispheres and as a chair for Yale Model Congress. In his free time, Kyran enjoys watching films by David Lynch, reading, going to the Yale art gallery, and hanging out with his friends and girlfriend. Kyran is looking forward to welcoming the delegates to an amazing 13th conference.

Anna Calkins

Under-Secretary-General of Specialized/Crisis Committees

Anna (she/her) is a first-year at Yale in Morse College. She is from Chicago, Illinois and is considering a major in Cognitive Science or Linguistics. On campus, Anna is part of the Yale Daily News, The Yale Record, and the Yale Concert Band. Also a member of the Yale Water Polo Team and Climbing Team, she loves swimming, being outdoors, reading, and exploring new places. She can't wait to meet the delegates of YMUNE and hear all of their innovative ideas for solving the issues they'll discuss at the conference.

Rhea (she/her) is a sophomore in Ezra Stiles College from the suburbs of Minnesota. She is a prospective Computer Science & Economics and History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health double major. Outside of YMUNE, Rhea is a member of the Yale Student Investment Group. In her free time, Rhea enjoys reading, going on jogs, skiing and dancing. Rhea is looking forward to meeting the delegates of YMUNE XIII and believes that one day they will change the world.

 

Raquel Ramirez Recio

Under-Secretary-General of External Affairs

Raquel (she/her) is a first-year in Davenport college from Monterrey, Mexico (currently living in Mason, Ohio). She is a prospective Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian studies and Global Affairs double major. Outside of YMUNE, Raquel is a part of the Yale Foreign policy Initiative and volunteers as a tutor for the Yale ESL Bridges club and the Yale Interpretation Network. In her free time, Raquel enjoys reading, studying languages, exploring new places, and trying new foods. Abby (she/her/hers) is a sophomore in Benjamin Franklin College from Boston, MA. She is a prospective Architecture and Urban Studies double major. Outside of YMUNE, Abby is part of the Yale Policy Institute and the Urban Philanthropic Fund. She enjoys cafe hopping and trying new pastries, looking at photos of her beautiful golden retriever, and spending time with friends.
